The kind of question school should make us ask.

Grounds4Schools grew from my IB Personal Project. It gives school communities a real question to explore together: could a daily cup of coffee be better for growers and help learning too?

Inquire.

Ask parents what they buy, what they value and whether the idea is worth testing.

Act with care.

Check prices and partnerships before promising farmers or schools a benefit.

Listen across cultures.

Learn from Ethiopian growers and families, and let them choose what stories to share.

This is an independent student project, not an IB programme or endorsement. IB learner profile · MYP projects

Three small steps.

  1. Ask your school.

A school-approved adult coordinator shares the anonymous two-minute survey through an approved parent channel. Participation is optional.

  2. Listen to parents.

Gather views on coffee habits, spending and the idea itself. Share only combined results; keep individual answers and comments private.

  3. Consider a small pilot.

Discuss a tasting or pre-order trial only after costs, supplier checks, food safety, school permission and the proposed school contribution are clear.

An invitation you can share.

Use your school’s approved channels. Choose a version below and send it only after the school agrees.

English invitation

Could your everyday coffee help a child learn? Grounds4Schools is Hridhaan’s student project exploring quality coffee, fairer farmer pay and support for education. Parents are invited to share their coffee habits and views in an anonymous two-minute survey. It is research, not an order or a promise to buy. Please respond once per household and don’t include names or contact details. Take the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScAhaqgEKUBuncG_9IsdnKmuBY-WogRnLnJaM6iQF0ADTcbMQ/viewform

Could you be the adult contact for your school? Tell us a little about your community and what support you could offer.

Contact details stay private and are used only for project follow-up. Expressing interest does not enrol your school or commit it to a pilot.

Is the school being asked to sell coffee?

No. The first step is research. Coffee sales are not live, and suppliers, school partners and any contribution per bag are still unconfirmed. A future pilot would need a separate agreement with the school.
